Senior IT Security Architect

Would you like to join Frontex, the European Border, and Coast Guard Agency, in Warsaw-Poland for a 12-month contract with the possibility of an extension for an additional period?

 

The Role

  • Plan, advise on and propose infrastructure improvements, changes, or upgrades
  • Develop solutions and design complex systems
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and policies
  • Accompany and supervise deployments, configuration changes, and methods to ensure the least amount of network and service disruption.
  • Design, build, and implement enterprise-class security systems for a production environment
  • Align standards, frameworks, and security with the overall business and technology strategy
  • Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats
  • Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge
  • Propose solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security necessities
  • Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and suggest changes or improvements.

The Requirements

We are looking for someone who has had diversified and balanced experience in the field and who meets the requirements listed. 

Must-Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in systems development and security
  • Practical experience designing security architecture, demonstrating solutions delivery, concepts, and emerging technologies, and designing and implementing security solutions. This includes continuous monitoring and improving solutions, in collaboration with an information security team.
  • 2+ years of experience in testing complex systems
  • Experience In consulting and designing IT Security Systems
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing and security: data breaches, broken authentication, hacking, account hijacking, malicious insiders, third parties, APTs, data loss, and DoS attacks.
  • Excellent experience with designing UML and ArchiMate models
  • Experience with relevant National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, ISO27001 and COBIT
  • Familiarity with Disaster Recovery, High Availability, and Backup strategies
  • Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management, and related technologies
  • Ability to explain security architecture in an understandable way to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Good understanding of cloud security concepts and solutions
  • Knowledge of security principles such as Need To Know, Zero Trust, DID, and others
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and team-building abilities, as well as the ability to lead teams and drive projects and initiatives across multiple departments
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) or equivalent certification.
  • C1 English level or higher
  • EU national or permanent resident

Nice To Have:

  • TOGAF Certification
  • CCSP (ISC2- Certified Cloud Security Professional)
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Security
