Recruiting an IT Product Owner/Manager

Would you like to build applications that will positively impact the health and fitness industry? We are looking for a Product Owner/Product Manager for the Software and Hardware stack for the product team, in Berlin, Germany.

Our client is a High-Tech company that provides a service improving the daily health and life of customers in Germany.

The role is a cornerstone in the product team, as the frontend is the main digital customer interaction point to the vertically integrated product – from the physical machine to the customer mobile applications

The technology combines a physical fitness machine, modern apps, and a cloud-based backend with a host of data.

The Role

You will take complete, end-to-end ownership of all front-end projects across the entire stack. It is a fascinating role with a lot of room to learn and grow in a modern TypeScript environment. You will advance to the position of team leader by hiring and coaching a team of A-Players.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the roadmap and backlog for the Apps developed with the internal software team (a mix of remote and on-site engineers)
  • Collaborate with 3rd party providers to improve/change the fitness machine design. You’ll partially manage these external projects.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers, organize weekly meetings, manage priorities, and participate in specification development.
  • Work with the development team to drive future product developments
  • You will be in charge of all feature-based stories. This includes defining the flow, the definition of done, and visual mocks.

The Requirements

Must-have

  • At least 5-6+ years of experience in IT Product Management
  • Experience with both web and mobile application development (as a PO)
  • Background in the health/fitness industry
  • Highly skilled at prioritizing stories, and features based on business impact, KPIs, and outcomes
  • Excellent understanding of product flows (UX flows, data flows) as well as technology and applications.
  • A sense of technical complexity is required.
  • Productivity mindset and a good sense of both technology and esthetics
  • Good communication skills
  • Interest in health and exercise – a background in ergonomics or something similar would be a big plus!
  • Does not need to be able to write software, but must be able to challenge developers.
  • Target Locations:
  • Berlin, Germany
  • Open to interviewing candidates from around the world – if you’re willing to relocate to Berlin in Germany.
  • Contract:
  • Full-time long-term commitment if you are in Germany
  • Visa is not sponsored (however may be discussed)
